Crittenton Centers has been anchored in Peoria and serving all of central Illinois since 1892. Having once served as a maternity home for unwed mothers, Crittenton Centers has evolved into a multi-service organization providing a variety of crisis intervention, education center, and parenting services within a nurturing and caring environment.
Currently, our three core services are focused on preventing child abuse and neglect through our Crisis Nursery (emergency and respite care for infants and children ages birth to 6 years); helping prepare children for success in kindergarten through our Child Development Center (preschool and daycare for infants and children ages 6 weeks to 6 years); and teaching and supporting appropriate parenting skills while strengthening families through our Family Services.
On April 29, 2017, we will be celebrating our 125th Anniversary.
